50 degrees F in July - let's go swimming!

I remember when Michelle came to visit John and I (and Hayden when he was a baby) in America with Granddad one July. It gets very hot in the summer where we lived, but for some reason the weekend we had planned to go boating on Lake Monroe with my Dad and Gretchen it was going to be record cold temperatures. We went on the boat anyway, and the sky had very low, dark clouds and the air was very cold. We Americans were ready to cut the boating short, but the Brits wanted to stick it out. It wasn't long after we had put the anchor down so we could have lunch that Michelle jumped into the water! Soon her brother was in, followed by her dad. Then we had to send Hayden in because he is half British after all. With her standard air of playfulness and joy, Mich was going to make the most of day at the lake, with or without the cooperation of the weather!
